Girls’ Squash Takes on St. Luke’s
On February 27, the Kingswood Oxford Varsity Girls’ Squash team took on St. Luke’s and came away with a 0-6 loss. For their first and last match of the season, they had a great outing with some close games in each individual match, as well as several players making their Upper School squash debuts. Annabelle Jacobs ‘23 was ready to compete, using strong multi-shot combinations to stay ahead and take her match 3-0 in the number five spot. Lilli Goldman ‘25 had a true test of her footwork and dug in with determination for a tough 3-0 loss, followed by an extra match that she rallied for, taking it 2-0. Ava Marseglia ‘26 and Mackenzie Caruso ‘22 showed off their skills in the number one and number two spots, respectively, constructing many impressive points against top-level opponents. Macy Isenberg ‘22 brought high serving and long drives to her well-fought match in the number four spot, taking her opponent to the limit in each game. Regina Miller ‘22 and Ilianna Brett ‘24 (in the number six and three spots) had the technical skill in their drives to the back of the court, and their composed competitiveness was clear from the start. The team was glad to get out and play a strong team at the end of the season. Nice work, Wyverns!
