In front of a cheering home crowd, KO JV Volleyball had an exciting 2-1 win against a solid Miss Porters team. KO came out strong in the first game with solid serving and consistent offense, taking the game 25-20. Aliza Rashid ‘27 posted 7 aces, while setter Rachael Segal ‘28 contributed 5 aces. Offensive points were scored with kills by Layla Hall ‘27, and Sienna DuBois ‘26. Game two was a battle back and forth with solid serving and offense from both teams. KO kills in game two came from Madison Brillant ‘28, Scarlett Bourgoin ‘27, DuBois and Hall. Aniajah Sanchez ‘28 had a key block in game two. Miss Porters put together a couple of key points to take the win in game two 26-24 and force a third tie-breaking game. KO came out strong in game three and took a quick 6-2 lead with Bourgoin serving for 5 straight points before Miss Porters earned the side out. KO worked hard to hold onto the lead and finished the third game 15-9 to win the match. Highlights in game 3 included kills from Els Morris ‘25, Rashid, and DuBois, as well as aces from Hall and the game winning ace from Lidia Martinez-Castro ‘27. KO JV Volleyball is looking forward to being tested in our two next matches as we travel to Loomis on Tuesday 10/29 and play our last home match of the season against Choate on Wednesday 10/30.
