Volleyball – Girls JV vs Ethel Walker School – Home

JV Volleyball

JV Volleyball had its first win of the season in front of a home crowd in Hewett Gym on Wednesday. The team came out ready to compete in this match and worked hard to achieve its goal of transitioning to an offensive play with every serve and freeball that came over the net. KO’s offense was led with solid setting from Julia Sohn ‘25 and Lidia Martinez-Castro ‘27, who both also contributed some aces on the service line. The key to KO’s success, especially in game 2 of the match, was solid passing led by Libero, Scarlett Bourgoin ‘27 and other back row players; Racheal Segal ‘28, Aleis Gonzalez ‘27, and Zil Desai ‘27. Our front row players; Aliza Rashid ‘27, Aniajah Sanchez ‘28, Madison Brillant ‘28 in the middle, and Sienna DuBois ‘27, Layla Hall ‘27, and Remi Rosado ‘28 on the outside, all did a nice job of hitting, tipping, and handling balls at the net. The team is excited for its first road trip as they head to Suffield to take on the Tigers this coming Saturday 9/28.
