Tennis – Girls JV vs Taft School – Away

JV Girls Tennis

JV Girls Tennis lost its last match of the year, dropping 0-4 to Taft. Nevertheless, there were aspects of the team’s performance that deserve accolades. Kayla Buttaro played very well against a talented opponent, with the match requiring 9 sets for the Taft side; Kayla exhibited great hustle and very intelligent placement, forcing her opponent to work for every point. On the doubles side, Alisa Ruban and Anna Ollenschleger, having never played together as a team nevertheless showed great chemistry on the court, fighting to win 4 sets.

Looking back at the season, it is beyond doubt that we improved as a team, each player improved individually, and we had a great time along the way. I look forward to the Spring Sports Assembly on Thursday to recognize this team’s efforts!
