Tennis – Boys Varsity vs Hotchkiss School – Away

V Boys Tennis

Today we faced a team that was simply too deep and talented for us to overcome. The final score does not reflect how well we played at certain spots, as Pratt Blair won the first set but ultimately fell short in a 3rd set super tiebreaker, 10-7 against one of the best players in the league. At #3, Will Maclean lost an incredibly close first set 7-6 (8-6 in the tiebreaker), and a close second set, 6-3. Ciaran Concepcion continued to fight through illness against his talented opponent. Though he lost in straight sets, he pushed through a tough match once again despite not being 100%. Hotchkiss was simply too strong at 4,5,6, as their talented players took control early and won in straight sets. Our team competed and never gave up, showing their determination while facing a veteran squad that has 5 seniors. Our record stands at 5-5, and it is exciting to see how our team will finish the season.
