Tennis – Boys Varsity vs Hopkins School – Away

V Boys Tennis

We traveled to New Haven to take on a talented and deep Hopkins squad. The highlight of our day was a convincing win at #1 doubles, as Blair and Concepcion continued their impressive doubles play. Hopkins won in convincing fashion at #2 doubles, and edged out a win at#3 doubles, 8-5, despite a strong effort from Saahit Gaddipati and Ian Russell. Singles saw some close matches, as Blair and Maclean both lost sets in tiebreakers and ultimately fell in straight sets. The team worked hard but were beaten by a team with too much depth. Next up is a Friday match vs. the Frederick Gunn School.
