Tennis – Boys Varsity vs Choate Rosemary Hall – Home
Varsity Boys Tennis
KO hosted a strong and balanced Choate team that finished 2nd in a talented KITT field earlier this month. We knew that it would be a challenge, and we gave Choate a tough match. Choate earned the doubles point with close matches at #1 and #3, as well as a strong win at #2. In singles, Ciaran Concepcion (’26) earned a close straight sets victory at #1 singles, while Pratt Blair (’26) lost an equally close match at #2. Choate’s #1 through #4 are quite close in talent, which makes for very difficult matchups at #3 and #4. Although Will Maclean (’25) lost 6-2, 6-4, he played a terrific second set against a talented opponent. The same can be said for freshman Neil Reddy (’28) who played his best match of the year but ultimately lost to Choate’s senior captain who relied on years of experience and savvy play to earn the victory. Choate’s depth at 5 and 6 singles led to straight sets victories over Saahit Gaddipati (’26) and Logan Barash (’28) respectively. We have a busy week ahead with matches against Wooster, Frederick Gunn, and Cheshire.
