Tennis – Boys Varsity vs Cheshire Academy – Away
V Boys Tennis
We capped off a very busy week with our fourth away match as we traveled to Cheshire Academy. They were shorthanded, missing their top player, yet it did not prevent them from playing well and making it a very close match. We decided to play singles first, and KO earned wins at #2,3,4 as Pratt Blair, Will Maclean, and Saahit Gaddipati won in straight sets. The clinching 4th point was earned by Roman Moray at #6 singles, who picked a perfect time to notch his first Varsity singles win in the top 6. Jacob Barash, coming back from an injury absence, put up a strong fight but was ultimately defeated in two close sets. At #1 singles, Ciaran Concepcion battled back after dropping the first set to win the second, only to be edged out 11-9 in the super-tiebreaker. The doubles was abbreviated to a single regular set. as KO earned a win at #1 (Blair and Gaddipati), but dropped competitive matches at #2 (Ian Russell and Roman Moray) and #3 (Form 2 combo of Noah Sadowsky and Logan Barash). Next up is a Monday home match up against a talented Westminster team.
