V Boys Tennis

We traveled the short distance to take on a well balanced Avon Old Farms team. We played excellent doubles at #1, as Ciaran Concepcion and Pratt Blair were superb. Unfortunately, we did not fare well at 2 and 3 doubles, as AOF took control early at #2 and pulled away at #3 as the match went from 4-3 to 8-3. Down a point going into singles there was little margin for error. Pratt Blair played a terrific match, winning in straight sets, as did Saahit Gaddipati at #5. Will Maclean played a great match at #3, but he ran into a very tough opponent who was just a bit too good to overcome. Still, it was the best match Will has played all season. We have a well deserved, needed weekend off after a full slate of matches this week.
