Swimming & Diving – Girls Varsity vs Hopkins School, – Away

It was the first meet of the new season, and our Wyverns traveled to The Hopkins School in New Haven to see how well they were going to do.
Despite having a smaller squad this year, our Lady Wyverns performed admirably. In the 200-yard Freestyle, Risha Ranjan (‘21) took fourth place, with a time of 2:32.00, and co-captain Noa Boyd (’18) placed fifth, with a time of 2:32.72. Laura Brawley (‘22) grabbed second place in the 200-yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:34.87, and Tanishka Dalavi (‘21) took fifth, with a finishing time of 3:05.10. Esha Shrivastav (’20) came in fourth in the 50-yard Freestyle sprint event, going 34.08, and Jane Liang (‘21) went 1:06.96 to finish fifth. Brawley took third in the 100-yard Butterfly with a time of 1:11.35, with Dalavi coming fifth with a time of 1:25.36. Co-captain Emma Oulette (’18) grabbed third in the 100-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:05.66, and Shrivastav was close on her heels in fourth, going 1:17.90. Jenna Mick (’18) went sixth in the same event, posting a finishing time of 1:44.00. Allie Wildstein (’22) posted a second-place finish in the 500-yard Freestyle, going 5:58.18, and our ladies took first place in the 200-yard Freestyle relay, going 2:01.96. Willdstein won a hotly contested 100-yard Backstroke event, going 1:12.23, and Liang won the 100-yard Breaststroke event, posting a time of 2:27.25. Our ladies finished their first meet, taking first place in the 4 x 100-yard Freestyle relay, going 4:27.39. Well done on the first meet in a season of rebuilding and some solid results!
