KO keeps it close with Canterbury School.
In the Girls’ 200-yard Medley Relay, co-captain Noa Boyd (’18), Allie Wildstein (’22), Risha Ranjan (’21) and Laura Brawley (’22) placed second with a finishing time 2:18.80, only .40 seconds off of the lead swimmers from Canterbury in a very hotly contested race. Wildstein took first in the 200-yard Free, going 2:13.97, beating all of the rest of the Saints’ swimmers. Brawley took first in the 200-yard Individual Medley, with a winning time of 2:39.07, beating out the second-place swimmer by only .10 seconds. Boyd took second in the 50-yard Free, going 28.26, just .70 seconds off of the lead. Ranjan took first in the 100-yard Fly, with a finishing time of 1:18.52, and Brawley came back to grab second in the 100-yard Free with a time of 1:02.58. Boyd grabbed second place in the grueling 500-yard Free, going 6:33.68, and Wildstein grabbed first in the 100-yard Backstroke, with a finishing time of 1:11.08. Ranjan took first in the 100-yard Breaststroke, going 1:39.53. In the final race of the girls’ meet, the 4 x 100-yard Freestyle relay, our Lady Wyverns took second place in an incredible finish, with a time of 4:17.50, only 1 second off of the winning time. Although our girls are a small team this year, they carried themselves well today, and provided both teams and the spectators with some incredibly exciting and close races. Well done, Ladies!
