Squash – Girls Varsity vs Suffield Academy – Away
Varsity Girls Squash
The KO Girls Varsity Squash team played away at Suffield for the second match of the season, losing 5-2 with some great matches played down the ladder. In the #1 spot, Ava Marseglia ’26 used precision shots and controlled the pace of the points to win 3-0. In the #2 spot, Valerie Perkins ’29 added killer weight to her drives that made them unretrievable in the back corners, and followed up with steady volleying to win 3-0. In the #5 spot, co-captain Alyssa Tousignant ’25 had a hard fought battle where she cleverly moved the ball around her opponent and took important opportunities to use the front of the court (0-3). Racheal Segal ’28 had a close, back-and-forth matchup in the #7 spot that drew out her best serving and consistent backhand drives close to the side wall (1-3). Aliza Rashid ’27, in her varsity match debut, crushed her serves and took advantage of every volley as she battled on court (1-3). We look forward to hosting Suffield for a rematch later on in the season!
