The KO GIrls Varsity Squash team played Suffield for the third time this season for a great rematch on Suffield’s courts. In the no. 7 spot, Avery Hersh ‘24 showed off her more and more aggressive backhand returns, along with her forehand drives that put her in position to claim the point. In the no. 4 and 5 spots, Ella Chen ‘25 and Lia Prahl ‘26 used volleys and well-placed cross court drives to send their opponents running to opposite corners. In the no. 3 spot, captain Ilianna Brett ‘24 settled into consistent, accurate attacks to the back of the court to win her match 3-1. The no. 1 and no. 2 matches had strong showings from Ava Marseglia ‘26 and Valerie Perkins ‘29, who used power and precision to ensure that the direction of each point was theirs to choose, each winning 3-0. In the no. 6 spot, Alyssa Tousignant ‘25 elevated her straight drives and volleys to tie up her match 1-1 early on, and put in a great hussle to challenge her opponent through the last point.
