In the no. 7 spot, Ava Patel ’28 stepped up from our JV squad to play in her first varsity match, and used her sweeping forehand to send solid returns and high cross courts past her opponent. In the no. 6 spot, Racheal Segal ’28 showed her comfort sending the ball deep into the back corners on forehand and backhand, which produced some spectacular points against a strong opponent. In the no. 1 spot, Ava Marseglia ’26 strung together fantastic points against her opponent, combining tight drives with masterful volley drops to the front corners. Valerie Perkins ’29 took it to her opponent in the no. 2 spot with varied pace of shot and excellent court coverage. In her no. 9 exhibition match after playing no. 3, Lia Prahl ’26 fought hard into a deciding 5th game, crushing the ball around her opponent to take control of the points.
