Squash – Girls Varsity vs Hopkins School – Away

Varsity Girls Squash

The KO Girls Varsity Squash team made the trip to Hopkins for a well-played 5-2 loss. In the no. 2 match, Valerie Perkins ‘29 showed patient precision as she took control of the middle of the court and read her opponent’s attacks to the front, only to crush them to the back of the court. Ava Marseglia ‘26 showed off her volleying and retrieval skills in the no. 1 match, giving up only a few points total against a talented opponent. In the no. 5 and 6 matches, Clara Toomey ‘26 and Sanya Sadiq ‘26 gave their opponents no time to rest, attacking the ball early with volleys and quick movement to the ball that allowed them to set up clever points. Racheal Segal ‘28 had a marathon of a match in the no. 8 spot, taking her opponent to 5 games and staying resilient and consistent with her attacks to the back corners of the court.
