Soccer – Boys MS vs Covenant Preparatory School – Home

MS Boys Soccer

The Boys MS team opened up its season against a talented Covenant Prep team that had a combination of talent, size, and speed. KO managed to stay in the game as a result of the hard work and strong play in the back, as Anay Sahu anchored our back line. Our goalkeepers (Chance Markovitz in the 1st half, Brendan Sills in the 2nd half) made a number of excellent saves to keep us in the match. We were down 1-0 at the half, and were fortunate to tie the score as we were awarded a PK midway through the 2nd half. The Covenant Prep keeper saved the PK, but shooter Jake Schwartz kept his composure and scored on the rebound. Covenant Prep kept up the pressure, and with two minutes to go scored on a well placed shot that our keeper had no chance to save. We played a strong game and the boys should be proud of their effort, play, and sportsmanship (the same goes for the opponent, too). It was a fair result, as a tie would have felt incredibly fortunate. Next up is an away match at Williston on Wed. the 25th.
