Softball – Girls Varsity vs Suffield Academy – Away
Varsity Softball
Eliminated from post season play Kingswood still puts up a fight at Suffield, but falls 4-2.
Kingswood took a 1-0 lead in the first inning after a Dakota McMahon 18’ Single and Noelani Jackson-Sherman 18’ RBI double. On the other side of the ball, Noelani Jackson-Sherman was pitching a gem shutting out the Wildcats for 6 innings. Kingswood tacked on another run in the 4th after again another Dakota McMahon 18’ single and Noelani Jackson-Sherman 18’ RBI single. Kingswood held on to a 2-0 lead until the bottom of the 6th when Suffield lead off with a HR and the a bunt that was thrown wildly to 1st. Another error on a bunt lead to 3 more Suffield runs and would win 4-2.
The loss capped a season in which KO played their best softball in the last six games, putting some great games together.
