Kingswood Oxford gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn’t let that get them down. They skirted past the St. Luke’s Storm 3-2. That’s more bragging rights for Kingswood Oxford, who also won the pair’s last head-to-head.
Alexis Nisyrios ’27 made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Nisyrios ’27 was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Georgia Louis ’24, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3 contributed in the win as well as Olivia Doran ’26 who added an RBI single in the top of the 7th inning to score Aniajah Sanchez ’28 for what proved to be the winning run as St Lukes closed the score to 3-2 in the bottom of the 7th.
Kingswood Oxford’s victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Kingswood Oxford will challenge Westminster School at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
