While Kingswood Oxford put up some runs on Saturday, the same can’t be said for Kent School. The Kingswood Oxford Wyverns came out on top against the Kent School Lions by a score of 5-0. Winning may never get old, but Kingswood Oxford sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Alexis Nisyrios ’27 On the mound, she didn’t allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. Nisyrios ’27 was also stellar in the batter’s box, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and a triple.
Other offensive standouts, Aleis Gonzales ’27 was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and an RBI.
Defensively, Sophia Radmanovich ’24 has been filling in nicely at 1B converting from a 3 year starting outfielder. Lilly Evans ’29 also played a strong defensive role.
Kingswood Oxford pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Kingswood Oxford will be playing at home against Canterbury School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kingswood Oxford’s pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Canterbury School’s hitters will have their work cut out for them.
