Varsity Girls Soccer

The KO girls won a hard fought contest against Marianapolis today, 2-1. With 6 players missing, the girls were short handed but did not allow that to deter them as they outworked the Marianapolis team. Lore Roca opened up the scoring in the first half–Maliyah Douglas back-healed a pass to Taylor Caldwell who was running down the sideline and slotted a pass that Loren was able to put into the goal. After Marianapolis tied the game in the second half, KO pushed hard to get the winning goal. With 8 minutes left, goalkeeper Addisen Nicholson took a direct kick from 40 yards out that went right under the crossbar for a sensational finish. Every girl on the field from KO deserved a game ball as most played a full 80 minutes. This was a true team win.
