Soccer – Girls Varsity vs Greenwich Country Day School – Away
V Girls Soccer
The KO girls battled a good GCDS team to a 1-1 tie in Greenwich. GCDS opened up the scoring midway through the first half to take a 1-0 lead despite possession held mostly by KO. However, 12 minutes later Caroline Sams deftly beat 2 defenders and crossed the ball in front of the goal where Olivia Adamowicz knocked it in. That was Olivia’s second goal in as many games. KO had some chances to score including a 20 yard hard shot by Maliyah Douglas that hit the crossbar and bounced away from the goal. The back four of Taylor Caldwell, Alex Doering, Liv Schaller, and Gianna Guerrera along with goalkeeper Addisen Nicholson were able to contain the speed of GCDS’s attack. KO will be home on Wednesday to take on Taft.
