The MS girls soccer team dominated the Westminster 3rds team in Simsbury coming home with a 7-0 win. The girls played hard throughout the 70 minute game controlling the ball in our offensive end for the majority of the time. The strong defense of Hana Roggendorf ‘23, Tess Chapman ‘23, Sattah Phouthakoun ‘23 and Skye Greenberg ‘24 kept the ball out of our defensive half the entire game as Westminster only got the ball over half field four times and only got one shot off which was saved by Kyra Dunnirvine ‘23. The KO offense was spearheaded by Ely Alleyne ‘23 who scored the first and third goal of the game. The first off a pass from Georgia Louis ‘24 and the second off the dribble. Emily Knowles ‘25 scored off the dribble while Roggendorf scored off a pass from Alleyne to send KO into halftime with a 4-0 lead. The girls kept up their intensity throughout the second half denying Westminster any runs at the goal and adding three more goals to our score. Ava Leshem ‘24 scored off the dribble after intercepting a clear while Sophia Radmanovich ‘24 found the net off the rebound of a shot by Annabelle Jacobs ‘23. Naisola Sarfo-Mensah ‘23 scored the final KO goal off a pass from Hallie Braunstein ‘23. Quin Kearney ‘23 fed several nice balls up to the forwards in the second half while Alina Vaughn ‘23 played a steady game at center mid and stopper.
