Soccer – Girls JV vs Hotchkiss School – Away

JV Girls Soccer

Our Wyverns took the offensive early in the game with some beautiful attempts on goal by Bella Deurloo, Delilah Mathews, and an impressive corner shot by Maya Gerrits. However, the opponents were soon able to get the ball in our defensive zone. Meagan Rose successfully stopped multiple attempts on our goal and Ida Chapman did some amazing footwork to also get the ball out of our defensive zone. However, the opponents were able to get a couple of goals through and the first half ended 2-0. During the second half, we maintained a strong center mid and defensive line-up with Reagan Heafey-De Angelis, CJ Jordan, Ida Chapman, and Maya Gerrits. Meagan Rose maintained a strong position in goal throughout the second half and stopped many more attempts. There was great teamwork on the field, with a particularly impressive play by Eden Gonzalez preventing a goal. Although our Wyverns played very well and continued to improve, we did not win this one with the final score of 5-0.
