Soccer – Girls JV vs Ethel Walker School – Away

JV Girls Soccer

After over a week without a game, our Wyverns took a few minutes to get back into the game mindset and Ethel Walker was able to get one past our defenses, taking an early lead of 1-0. However, our Wyverns quickly recouped and we had some beautiful shots toward goal made by Maya Gerrits and Reagan Heafey De Angelis from mid-field. Eden Gonazalez did some amazingly fast dribbling toward the goal. We had some great saves from our goalkeeper Sam Almeida, as well as from Ella Kemp and Reagan. At the end of the first half, the Wyverns held our opponent to their 1 goal. In the second half of the game, Olivia Pilecki was able to get past the opponent’s strong goalie and bring the score 1-1. As the goalie was about to make a dive for the goal, Olivia quickly responded and kicked it sideways into the goal. There were other beautiful attempts on goal made by Abigail Craig, Maya Gerrits, and Isabella Deurloo. However, the final score for the game remained at 1-1.
