Soccer – Girls JV vs Ethel Walker School – Away

JV Girls Soccer

Friday afternoon the girls JV soccer team traveled to Simsbury to take on the Ethel Walker wildcats under blustery conditions.

As the game went underway, it was clear that the Walker’s girls were well coached and ready for fight. The Wyverns played hard and took over the game enjoying a bulk of the possession, however scoring was elusive at first. Natalia Correa ’22 scored in the 9 minute in off a Remy McCoy ’20 pass to put the Wyverns up 1-0 going into the half. As the Wyverns kept up the pressure, Molly Jones ’20 chested in a corner kick from Amelia Levine ’20 and the Wyverns went into the half up 2-0. The second half played out much like the first half until Natalia Correa scored her second goal of the game off a pass from Amelia Levine to put the game away 3-0. Cai Kuivila was solid in net with 4 saves to keep a clean sheet. The girls are now 5-2 going into Saturdays game at Pomfret.
