Soccer – Boys Varsity vs Taft School – Home
V Ice Hockey
KO came into today’s game undefeated after some impressive performances and all-round hard work as a team. But after only a few minutes early in the game, it was clear to see that Taft had some outstanding talent and it was going to be a very tough challenge for the Wyverns.
After some early pressure from Taft, they managed to open the scoring after a ball dropped kindly for their forward who took the chance well. However, KO responded well and continued to work hard. Then after 17 minutes of play, they came close to getting back on level terms with two close chances in quick succession.
Unfortunately, KO couldn’t get the final touch and Taft countered and managed to score a second to take control of the game.
KO showed a never-give-up attitude and continued to work hard even though it looked difficult for them to get back into the game! Then, Tadhg Dillow came close to scoring after some persistent hard work, and then Jack Neikrie went clean through showing good pace, but his strong shot was saved excellently by the Taft GK.
KO kept pushing trying to get forward and then Taft added another to seal the well-deserved victory. This was a great test for KO and they were able to take the positives out of the game because they never stopped working and held together as a team!
