Soccer – Boys MS vs Indian Mountain School – Home
MS Boys Soccer
There are some games where the strength of an opponent is such that the outcome (win or loss) is not in much doubt. IMS is simply too strong in terms of size, age (9th graders, some of whom have reclassed), depth, and talent. Even though they play against prep high school JV teams, we should be proud of the fact that the score at halftime was only 3-1. This is no small feat for a team that has many 6th and 7th graders playing against high school age players. KO’s Jake Schwartz scored a phenomenal goal on a left footed strike, arguably the goal of the year for us. He was assisted by his cousin, 6th grader Jack Ritter. Our defenders, anchored by Anay Sahu, along with Reid Burtman, Chance Marvovitz, Ryan Lingashi, and Will Doering, worked so hard to hold IMS to only 3 goals in the first half. Although we could not hold them off in the second half, the boys played exceptionally well against a superior opponent that was undefeated. Next up is a rematch vs. Renbrook, which promises to be a competitive, close game.
