Soccer – Boys MS vs Hopkins School – Home
MS Boys Soccer
KO hosted Hopkins, a team we have played every year for as long as I can remember. The first half saw KO jump out to a 2-0 lead, only to see Hopkins respond immediately with a terrific goal into the upper right corner. Jake Schwartz put us out front 1-0 on fine finish, followed by a PK that was scored by Chance Markovitz. It was his first goal of the year, as he plays in the back as a defensive anchor. The half ended with a tenuous 2-1 lead, so the first goal of the 2nd half would be pivotal. Fortunately, KO netted a 3rd by Jack Ritter, followed by a blast by Quinn Waldron that hit the crossbar and came down in the back of the goalie. Paxton Tarantino capped the scoring with his best shot of the year, resulting in the final score of 5-1. Anay Sahu and Reid Burtman were solid in the back, as were Charlie McAlenney and Will Doering. Brendan Sills was steady in goal as well. Next up is the powerful Indian Mountain squad, which will be a huge test for our boys.
