V Girls Lacrosse

The varsity girls lacrosse team traveled to Suffield to take on the tigers of Suffield academy. The first half saw the tigers take a commanding lead shutting our wyverns out. At halftime the score was 9-0 for the tigers. As always our team did not give up and came out at the start of the second half and took it to the tigers. We cut the deficit to seven goals as we scored four goals to their two in the third quarter. Our attack got aggressive in going to goal and our defense stepped up and made it more challenging for Suffield to find the net. The final quarter saw our wyverns again come out and cut the deficit to six goals with a 12-6 score forcing Suffield to take a time out. We continued to give our best effort but the tigers also stepped up to score three goals to our one in the final part of the fourth quarter. This game again reinforced that this KO team never quits, plays with pride and cannot be overlooked.
