V Girls Lacrosse

The varsity girls lacrosse team traveled to the northeast corner of the state on a cold, rainy and windy day to take on the griffins of Pomfret Academy. Though the final score, 12-2 for Pomfret, may not reflect it our wyverns made some nice progress from their first game just two days ago. Defensively, we slowed down and stopped a lot of their attempts to get to the cage. Offensively, we had more shot opportunities and possessed the ball longer. We also had some nice transitions from the defensive end to the offensive end. All of these improvements came in not ideal playing conditions and our players are to be commended for giving their best effort and staying positive throughout the game.
