V Girls Lacrosse

Girls lacrosse travelled to Hopkins ready to compete. Though we struggled to keep possession in the first half, the team showed tremendous commitment and strength as they worked to redefend after each turnover. At the half, we had one goal to Hopkins five but the team agreed to keep their heads up – both literally and metaphorically. We returned to the field with newfound energy. The girls made smart passes and demanded possession off the draw resulting in goal after goal. Their hard work brought the score to 7-7 with 4 minutes left in the game. After an unlucky yellow card left us a man down on the defensive end, Hopkins capitalized on their advantage resulting in goal number eight. With minutes left in the game, Hopkins held possession while our defense pressured the ball until the final second of the game. By the book, this game may be considered a loss, but we are incredibly proud of the way they kept their heads up throughout.
