MS Girls Lacrosse

KO MS GLax traveled to Renbrook this past Friday for what would be a spirited game. KO would Jump out to an early 3-1 lead after the 1st quarter, but Renbrook would score 3 goals in 2nd and would tie the tie game at 4 going into the half. The 2nd half saw multiple led changes that would go on late into the 4th quarter. With the game tied at 6-6, KO’s defense would prove to be tough and caused a turnover near the KO goal with 1:11 secs left in the game. The Wyvern would move the ball in the KO Offensive end. Timeout was called to discuss strategy for a final shot. Showing great Poise, Julia Stepnowsk ‘28i held ball and drove to the Renbrook net drawing multiple defenders. Mackenzie Cahill ‘29 would pop the middle of the Renbrook 8 meter line, proving to be available for a pass from Stepnowski ‘28 and would beat the Renbrook Goalie off the turf scoring the go ahead KO goal. Renbrook would retire the game as time ran out forcing the 7-7 Tie. Julia Stepnowski ‘28 would lead the KO scoring with 3 goals, Mackenzie Cahill ‘29 (2), Lauren Kocay ‘29 and Chadley Zahner ‘29.
