JV Girls Lacrosse

With the weather approaching a summer like temperature of 91 degrees the KO JV lax team fresh off their 6 straight W of the season came to play.

The team is comprised of 29 very capable and driven athletes walked on to their home field on trout brook with their eyes on a seventh win. Eight KO Wyverns earned goals this game, some of them their first goal of the season. Catherine Daniels ’21 and Kayla Danler ’20 both scored two goals while Cami Forslund ’21, Margo Dowgiewicz 21’ Sloan Duvall ’21, Angelina Maselli ’20, Keegan McMahon ’21 and Amelie Beck ’21 all earned 1 goal. The talent this year is overwhelming and our ground ball controls and offensive redefends really helped the win become a reality. Both goalies Cai Kuvali ’20 and Molly Carroll ’21 each had a save in goal and earned their first shutouts of the season. Mai Lin Pomp-shine ’20 showed a lot of fight coming up with several ground balls in the midfield while the Wyvern defense played very aggressively and Hannah Rowland ’21 and Brooke Seaver ’21 showing off their newly earned defensive skills for the first time this season. Both ladies are new to the sport this year and are improving every day. In the end, the Wyverns succeeded in winning the game against Pomfret 10-0! The first shutout of the season and a very well played game in the first heat wave of the season. This makes the KO JV girls lacrosse team still undefeated 7-0-0!
