Lacrosse – Boys Varsity vs St. Luke’s School – Away
V Boys Lacrosse
The varsity boys lacrosse team battled to a thrilling 7-6 overtime win at St. Luke’s. The Wyverns found themselves in a hole early, down 1-5 in the first quarter but never lost belief in themselves and each other. The team defense stepped up and locked in, allowing just one goal over the final three quarters, while the offense gritted out one score at a time. Freshman Colton Zahner notched his third goal of the day with under a minute left in regulation to tie the game 6-6. And less than 2 minutes into overtime, junior Bennett Smith called game, netting his second goal of the day, assisted by junior Jack Neikrie, who also had a goal in the game and was a work horse all over the field. Freshman Nico Seymore added two assists. And sophomore Dalton Smith played a key role for the Wyverns, winning 16 of 17 face-offs to go with a goal and two assists. Next up, the Wyverns take on Forman School.
