Varsity Boys Lacrosse
In a tough matchup against Rye Country Day School, Kingswood put up a strong fight but ultimately fell short, losing 7-16. Quinn Heal led the charge for Kingswood, scoring a hat trick with 3 goals, while Dalton Smith added 2, and Colton Zahner and Michael Denardo each contributed 1 goal. Throughout the game, Kingswood showed tremendous resilience, never backing down and battling hard despite the scoreboard. The team fought to the final whistle, maintaining their intensity and focus, even as the game became increasingly challenging. Rye Country Day School was able to capitalize on key moments, but Kingswood never lost its determination, keeping the game competitive. The defense, anchored by Jason Mathews, was solid throughout the game, with strong contributions from a few freshmen making their varsity debuts—Amir Waterman, Teddy Ristaino, and Mason Cerkanowicz—who stepped up admirably in their first varsity experience. In the end, Rye outplayed us with class and composure, deserving their victory. Although we didn’t get the result we hoped for, Kingswood showed tremendous heart and will to fight until the very end.
