Lacrosse – Boys Varsity vs Capital Preparatory Magnet School – Home
Varsity Boys Lacrosse
The Kingswood Oxford Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse team opened their season with a victory in their first home contest against Capital Preparatory School from Hartford, CT.
The defense set the tone early in the game as they consistently created turnovers and provided ample opportunities for the offense. David Arcesi ‘18, Colin Regan ‘18, Jack Cavo ‘19 and Michael Aronson ‘19 all played outstanding defense and helped sophomore goalkeeper Owen Jakacky ‘20 see limited shots. The offense, a beneficiary of the defensive effort, used their time of possession advantage by sharing the ball and taking smart shots. Senior Christian Vitti ‘18 lead the team with four goals, but six different players scored on the day. Josh Shafer ‘18, Chris Sienko ‘21, and George Stephan ‘21 each had two goals, while Nick Traver ‘19 and Cohl D’addabbo ‘21 contributed one each. It was strong start for a young KO team looking to develop some chemistry early in the season.
