The Kingswood Oxford Wyverns traveled to Dedham, MA to take on the Noble and Greenough School in the John Mackay Bowl Championship Game on a warm, sunny November day. Nobles started the game with a great kick return to set up the initial score and led early 1st 6-0. The KO offense was able to move the ball all day, but the story of the game was the redzone. KO was stopped on their first two drives inside the 20 and was 2/6 on the day. Nobles on the other hand was 5/6 in the redzone and able to score on 3 of the 4 first half possessions to build a 21-0 lead. KO showing no quit, continued to battle. The 2 minute offense was sharp, led by Kamden Laprise ’26 who had a monster day receiving (over 200 yards on 10 catches). Laprise hauled in a TD pass with seconds to go in the half to get the game to 21-6 at the half. Now momentum with KO, the offense opened the 2nd half on a great drive balanced with run and pass. A phenomenal 18 yard TD run by Justin Morle ’26 and an excellent 2 pt catch by DJ Biggins ’26 cut the deficit to 21-14. KO defense was unable to muster an answer and Nobles continued to score at will increasing the lead to 28-14 after 3 quarters. The play of the game came early in the 4th Nobles on their own 18 yard line converted a fake punt for a 82 yard TD. This made the game 35-14. KO was able to muster one more score by Morle ’26 to finish the game 48-20. This concludes the successful Wyvern season. The most wins in 6 years and 4th bowl game in school history. They will look to build off this momentum next year!
