Football – Boys JV vs Canterbury School – Home
JV Football
It was a beautiful fall afternoon on the Hoffman Turf Field as the JV football team took on the Canterbury School. It was KO start to finish leading the whole way. The Defense was stout all day allowing 1 yard rushing for the entire game! On the Defensive Line Ashton Binalla ’27 and Amir Waterman ’28 were excellent, securing multiple tackles for a loss. In the Secondary leading the charge was David Hanley III who had two key Interceptions to stall Canterbury Drives. Offensively we scored early and often Ernesto Ballesteros ’28 was tremendous at the TE position securing 2 TD passes on the day, with one over the top of double coverage! Isley Biggins ’28 was dangerous every time he touched the ball, going for a TD run of 44, and two other plays over 20 yards. The heads up play of the game came when Ballesteros ’28 fumbled the ball after a 10 yard catch: Peter Louis ’28 secured the ball and was able to run the ball for another 40 yards forward. Great awareness! Now 1-1 on the season the JV team will look to secure back to back victories when the play host to Cheshire Academy for a rematch on Monday October 7th 5:00 pm Kickoff
