Field Hockey – Girls Varsity vs Westminster School – Home
Loss 0-6
After a long away game stretch KOFH was finally back home for Hewett Day. On a rainy Saturday afternoon KOFH came hungry to play against a formidable opponent, Westminster. KOFH left our heart and soul on the field as we held Westminster scoreless after the first 10 minutes of play. Our defense was on fire led by Meredith Decker with the incredible Stella Zimmer in goal we would not back down. Westminster was able to squeeze one goal by us leaving it 1-0 at the half. KOFH was fired up heading into the second quarter, Camryn Weinstein was hustling all over the field fighting for the ball, Kate Dempsey – Weiner and Marin Backer made some beautiful connections down the field. KOFH held them 2-0 at the half. After much pressure the Martlets found the back of the net in the third quater but that did stop us Wyverns from leaving our hearts on the field, finally getting the ball in our attacking circle. We are so proud of our work in this game, Westminster is a tough opponent but KOFH put their heart into this game. Stella Zimmer inspired all around her with 21 saves today. We will carry this momentum with us for our game on Monday!
