Field Hockey – Girls Varsity vs Ethel Walker School – Away

KOFH put their heart and soul on the field in the last contest of the season. It was senior day for Ethel Walker and they took the time to honor seniors from both teams as we thank our four seniors. Emma Barringer, Ashley Buckingham, Hana Haxhaj, and Avery Hersh for all their contributions to the team these past four years. It was a thrilling 0-0 battle as KOFH stood strong defending corner after corner as the Walkers had four corners in a row to end the first quarter and KOFH held them scoreless. With momentum and power KOFH came out fierce in the 2nd quarter where Emma Barringer brought her extreme speed and momentum to carry the ball down the field. After a strong scoreless battle The Walkers managed to get one in the next giving them the 1-0 lead at the half. KOFH was determined to not give up and ready for a fight. Into the 3rd quarter Emma Barringer ran through all the defenses getting us into the circle earning a penalty corner for the Wyverns. Senior Hana Haxhaj “24 capitalized on her opportunties and scored off an assist from Marin Backer ’27 give us a 1-1 tie after the 3rd quarter. It was a back in forth battle in the 4th quarter with 23 remarkable saves all game from Stella Zimmer ’25 and a fierce defensive battle. Unfortunately after much pressure the Walkers got one into the next giving us a 2-1 game. KOFH never gave up and we are so proud of all we accomplished this season. Go Wyverns!!!!!
