Girls MS B Basketball

The MS Girls’ B Basketball team lost to Rectory 32-18 on Jan. 6.

The team played with heart, grit, and composure against a larger, more practiced team. As a whole, the B team played excellent defense, especially in the 2nd half. Mia Brown ‘22 and Olivia Dufrense-Achatz ‘23 did an excellent job leading the team at point and added four points each to the score. Sarah Cao ‘23, with two points and as another second year player for the team, led the team from the paint with ferocity and added her skill to the boards creating some excellent fast breaks. Jillian Alexander ‘24 and Ava Cashman ‘24 (4 and 2 points respectively) learned how to be strong on the boards and in the paint in their first game for KO. Madison Bromberg ‘24 was on fire on defense, never letting her opponent get the best of her. Raisa Khaled ‘24 (2 points), Alexa Prahl ‘24, and Hana Haxhaj ‘24 began to understand the game of basketball and played a solid first game for KO as well. Eve Repp ‘23, with an injury, cheered the team on from the bench. Overall, on such a cold Saturday, the B team overcame much challenge and played a great game of basketball.
