Basketball – Boys Varsity vs St. Andrew’s School – Away

Loss 72-77

The Kingswood Oxford (KO) Basketball team had a grueling showdown with St Andrews in a very tightly contested away game on November 29th. Although we were unfortunately outscored by a mere 5 points with a final score of 72-77, our boys showed immense heart and determination.

We’re extremely proud of standout performers DJ Biggins, who accumulated 20 points and 7 rebounds, and Chuck Hare who displayed a stellar performance with a solid 21 points, 11 rebounds, 5 blocked shots, and 2 steals.

There were key moments in the game that deserve applause. Our team impressively managed to take a commanding 10 point lead against a class AA powerhouse, which currently has multiple players in the NBA. It showed the exceptional skill and potential our team possesses.

Though the outcome wasn’t in our favor this time, we showcased some incredible strengths. The fighting spirit our team demonstrated against a powerful opponent was remarkable and promising for the remainder of the season.

We would also like to take this opportunity to look forward. KO is geared up to bounce back for our season’s home opener on December 1, against Westminster. We look forward to showcasing our strength and skillset and putting up an even more formidable performance.
