In a high-scoring and thrilling matchup on January 17th, the Kingswood Oxford Boys Basketball team showcased their offensive prowess, securing a victory against Frederick Gunn with a final score of 77 to 63. The Wyverns’ resilience, teamwork, and standout individual performances were on full display, marking another impressive chapter in the season.

Board Dominance
The battle on the boards saw Chuck Hare and Declan Griffiths both contributing significantly as Best Rebounders with 7 rebounds each. Their collective effort in securing possessions and controlling the paint laid a solid foundation for the team’s success.

Scoring Leaders
Declan Griffiths led the scoring charge with 18 points, followed closely by DJ Biggins with 16 points and Odin Malz adding 10. The Wyverns showcased a balanced offensive effort, with multiple players making key contributions to the scoreboard.

Playmaking Precision
DJ Biggins took charge in the playmaking department, leading the team with 6 assists, while Rhandyn Bair contributed 5 assists. The Wyverns’ ability to create scoring opportunities through effective passing and teamwork was a key factor in their success.

Defensive Tenacity
Declan Griffiths led the team in steals with 2, demonstrating not only offensive prowess but defensive tenacity as well. The ability to create turnovers and capitalize on defensive plays played a crucial role in the Wyverns’ victory.

Stellar Contributions
Sebastian Cotte continued his impressive run with another great effort, contributing significantly on both ends of the court and chipping in 5 rebounds. Cotte’s consistency over two consecutive games highlights his valuable contributions to the team.
