On Monday April 23rd, the Middle School Baseball team lost its home opener to Rumsey Hall 10 – 1.
The Wyverns fell behind early and could not mount a comeback. Elijah Wells ‘24 had the first hit of his KO career and came around to score when Christian Pedro ‘22 drew a bases loaded walk. Defensively, Pedro threw a runner out at home on a relay from left field to stymie a Rumsey threat, and Wells caught a sinking line drive in outfield debut. Brady Nichols ‘23 was tremendous behind the plate, blocking everything and working well with the Wyvern pitching staff. Rayyan Haider ‘24 battled in his first pitching appearance. KO will travel to play the Foote School on April 25th.
