About kyle reynoldsÂ
Kyle Reynolds is an award-winning director who joined Kingswood Oxford School in 2018 as Director of Theater amid an accomplished career in theater education and directing. Kyle’s role at KO involves teaching both theater and public speaking classes as well as directing the fall play and the winter musical. Kyle recently established a highly successful new fall dance program. The Choreographer’s Showcase featured guest dancers/choreographers from around the country who worked with KO students for ten weeks producing a final show in the Roberts Theater. A true workaholic, Kyle teaches in both Middle School and Upper School, in addition to holding his collegiate professorship at several Connecticut colleges/universities. You may recognize Kyle from his accomplished work within Western Connecticut State University, Post University, Goodwin College, and the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts. Under Kyle’s instruction, his students have achieved successful careers in both Broadway and off-Broadway productions as well as national tours. At the college level, Kyle’s students have also gained acceptance to elite musical theater universities: Baldwin Wallace, Shenandoah, Ithaca, New York University Tisch, and the University of Michigan. Kyle, a performer trained in the Sanford Meisner technique, continues to be inspired by the creativity and hunger for theatrical training at Kingswood Oxford. Kyle’s all-time favorite musical is, of course, Hello Dolly.Â
