Visiting Artists - Kingswood Oxford

Visiting Artists

Each year, Kingswood Oxford students are influenced and inspired by professional artists who share their expertise through workshops, master classes, lectures, and performances. Highly regarded in their respective fields, these composers, performers, and visual artists open their minds and hearts to students, sharing their creativity, passion, and drive.

Visiting Musicians

Since 2005, Kingswood Oxford’s Composer Colloquy has brought internationally renowned composers to campus as resident artists. All Middle and Upper School choral students study, prepare, and perform music by the visiting musician — including a new work commissioned specifically for the Kingswood Oxford residency!

Visiting Artists-in-residence

For nearly 25 years, top-rate visual and performing artists have visited Kingswood Oxford for an annual residency, working closely with students in studio and performance capacities. Past artists include painters, dancers, sculptors, puppeteers, and jazz musicians.

“Our artist-in-residency programs provide students with an invaluable experience. They work alongside professional composers, performers, and visual artists for a week, seeing firsthand the expertise and commitment required. It’s an incredibly motivating and inspiring experience.”

— David Baker, Upper School creative arts & history teacher
