KO Varsity Field Hockey Coach Appointed

Chapin Yates has been named the new varsity women’s Field Hockey Coach at KO. Yates brings talent and experience to the community with her impressive background in the sport of field hockey. Her career accolades include being named a two-time high school All-American and named best female athlete award at Brooks School, where she was also named an Independent School League (ISL) League All-Star and was a two-time recipient of an ISL All-League Award.

Yates went on to play four years of field hockey at Boston College where she helped lead the team to 44 wins as a leading scorer. She was also named an All-Atlantic Coach Conference (ACC) Player and achieved Academic Honor Roll honors. She has coached a variety of clinics and camps throughout New England.

“Coach Yates’ vast personal experience, extensive knowledge, and passion for field hockey is exactly the winning combination that makes us excited to have her join the Wyvern community,” said Interim Director of Athletics Josh Balabuch.

“I am very excited to be a part of the KO community,” said Yates. “I am passionate about coaching and looking forward to working with the team and bringing my love and knowledge of the sport to the program.”
